No I know what you mean, but I don't like either songs, although that's not even the point I'm trying to make. I just don't see why a lot of contemporary / popular music has been reduced to mindless primitive noises uhh uhh oom oom uhh uhh tss uhh or pointless "chauvanistic fratboy bullshit" or whatever the fuck. It's just my opinion of course, and nor do I mean that more complex is better, but I just don't like the current trend. Even staying on the topic of electronic music, compare how unrefined this shit is with something like Kraftwerk

Everything gets dumbed down these days.
Movies (i.e. Transformers, Step Up, Date Movie, Epic Movie Meet the Spartans, etc.)
Music (i.e. Lil Beezy/Wayne/Bow wow/Kim/etc, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Gucci Mane, Fall out Boy, Insane Clown Posse, etc)
Games (i.e. Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Guitar Hero, FUCKING DJ HERO, Mass Effect, etc)

DJ Hero was cool actually! It had more love than any of Guitar Hero 3+
Mass Effect is not dumbed down, it's a solid third person shooter/RPG hybrid.
