RIP JD Salinger

In case you didn't know, the author of one of the most popular books (also one of my personal favorites), Catcher in the Rye, died a couple days ago.

Pretty much the same way as Harper Lee. One hit wonder, but it was astounding.

The book was a one-hit-wonder, I admit, but it was such a great book. RIP

I am ashamed to admit it but catcher in the rye is one of the few must read books that I actually havent even opened. Someone recently gave me one exemplar, before JD passed away. I bet lot of people who find themselves in the same position as me will read that book now that weve heard of his passing.

The best time to read it is when you're a teenager, it changes your outlook on life

Perhaps its a little late to completely understand it, then. Ive heard about its influence, but its quite something for a young author to create something of such an impact on his age group. :o
