RIP JD Salinger

In case you didn't know, the author of one of the most popular books (also one of my personal favorites), Catcher in the Rye, died a couple days ago.

Was he a one hit wonder cuz Catcher is the only one I ever hear about and he wrote that when he was like 16.

Pretty much the same way as Harper Lee. One hit wonder, but it was astounding.

I am ashamed to admit it but catcher in the rye is one of the few must read books that I actually havent even opened. Someone recently gave me one exemplar, before JD passed away. I bet lot of people who find themselves in the same position as me will read that book now that weve heard of his passing.

Perhaps its a little late to completely understand it, then. Ive heard about its influence, but its quite something for a young author to create something of such an impact on his age group. :o
