Looks like in future 99% of artists will use softwares for modify their voice.
Should we feel sorry for the music or it doesn't matter if the voice is fake and we should focus more on lyrics and rhythm?

I find every song these days has the samn damn beat and rhythm too. All those artists need to die off, so we can listen to something original for once.

ANYONE can modify their voice. It takes no talent whatsoever. Sure it's music..

It's just shit music because the artist actually has no talent of their own.

That's personal preference.

In my case, I hear that shit so often that I think it's shitty, repetitive, and I'm tired of it.

I think it's shit. Others may not.

When you produce music for some years, etc. You realize, and recognize the amount of skill, and effort that goes into making certain songs, and how they are composed. Most songs these days are made effortlessly. It's a disgrace to music really. Same beat pattern with same auto-tuned pitches with horrible repetitive lyrics.

I have respect for artists that create original content, and have excellent vocal capabilities without autotune aid, and that don't repeat the same word 8 times in a row because they were too lazy to come up with something creative.

I was actually screwing around with the Autotune VST that T-Pain uses, and it's too easy to sound good, and adjust your voice. I should find it, and upload the clip sometime.

Granted in most songs of any genre, autotune is used. The thing is though, it's only used in a minor sense of correcting recording hiccups, or changing one of the vocalists notes that would have sounded better at a certain point.

BUT AUTO-TUNE IN THE WHOLE TRACK?!

Fuck that. Learn how to sing.

Yall are about five years late to be makin this stand, but at least it was made at all.

Most of the better music is either underground or just not mainstream (e.g. clique-like audiences, select circles of hipsters, hypebeasts, stoners, skaters, ir just about anyone with tastes which do not rely upon the pop charts)... mostly only females between the age of 14 and 24 listen to the radio or listen to the auto tune club shit crunk bit drunk dance faggot junk wannabe trance or punk dubstep nonesense.

Only idiots listen to that shit for leisure outside the club. Only morons listen to the radio and dipshits actually buy the albums.

The problem isn't music ever. music kicks ass, but people are tasteless, ignorant, and too materialistic and poor to have enough cash to produce something that can't be mass replicated easily with no effort nor time to take in making it or even making it well.

Last Wednesday I was at a party, and there was this guy that kept telling me "Ohhhh drop this track. Play this song. Play that song"

IT WAS ALL SHIT. It was the music you literally hear 10 times at least per day on a pop radio station.

The music that I listen to may be obscure at times, but I love the music I listen to, and that's my own opinion.

If hipsters would actually share their music with people, the world would be somewhat of a better place.

For me, music is a massive impact on my life. I LOVE MUSIC. I don't like every genre, but life is much more enjoyable with music.

I too hate those who only listen to a specific type of music to create an image of themselves, but don't actually enjoy the song.

If someone is going to incorporate auto-tune into a musical piece. Do it right, and don't abuse it.

For myself, I listen to Electronica. There is usually no lyrical structure through most songs. What matters is the arrangement of sounds, what sounds are used, why they are used, how that artist used them. I can listen to an electronica song and point out if an artist is just "WOOOOO LOOK AT ME, IM MAKING COOL SOUNDS N SHIT", OR if they're actually putting in their emotion and feeling for their song. If you'd like an example of a truly amazing artist that dumps his soul into his music, it's Stimming.

Auto-tune is not the anti-christ of music! It is a perfectly legitimate tool which can be used to subtly clean up tracks just like other production tricks.

It can even be used to create a certain, desired sound. Example:

Autotune is one of the layers used in his voice to not only give it a clean and...aquatic sound but also to mask the fact he has quite a squeaky and weak voice.
