I thought Bellamy was awesome and Skrtel was awesome. Henderson also looked alot more lively with Gerrard on. And Gerrard, well, it's Gerrard what did you expect? Carrol looks like he desperatly needs a goal though. I agree with every other uppertunistic Liverpool fan when they say Carrol just needs time and will learn to score goals for fun, but really, right now, the 35m price tag he had is getting more and more of an impact on his game, it seems. I like Carrol alot, and I think he has loads of potential, but as a personal opinion I think Kuyt should start ahead of him. Not only does Kuyt seem more useful to me, with Carrol's age and the lots of improvement he has to do, it's only right for a more experienced player like Kuyt to start ahead of him. Kuyt/Bellamy or Suarez/Kuyt seems like an awesome line up. IMO better then Carrol in the strike force. Although Kuyt should be able to start a game anyway without having a place in striker position, but it seems like lately he's not getting any.

Who knows why?

I really do think Kuyt could be useful, and as far as I'm concerned, anyone who thinks it's right that he's on the bench because he's not all that great should look at the Holland team where he's a regular starter. He's not the most beautiful player to watch (not talking about his looks, but about his style of football) but surely, neither is Carrol. And it doesn't matter if he can do any neat tricks, it's his contribution to the team that should matter.

I honestly believe Kuyt/Bellamy or Kuyt/Suarez is an AWESOME duo. A fast paced striker alongside Kuyt just seems really good to me.

What are you people's views on this?

Also, is it worrying, for Kuyt, that he didn't get a start even with Suarez suspended?

Kuyt is a industrial player, who does not perform Cruyff turns etc, however what he does bring to the table is needed in a team. His work rate and never say die attitude has been vital to us so many times.

Kuyt tends to be at his best closer to the end of the season, due to his superb workrate and stamina, where other players might start to tire.

I believe he will start against Man City next week, and this is why he didn't play more against Newcastle.

A advantage Kuyt/Suarez has is that both speak fluent Dutch, and this could be a useful key of communication when attacking.

Carroll recieved better passes in half an hour against Newcastle, than he has ever had in the red shirt. The reason for this is Gerrard. What a phenomenal player he is.

Wasn't too bothered about Carroll tonight

I don't really feel like this fixture is a loss of points, there were other stages where we shouldve taken advantage but alot of the contenders for 4th have been slipping up... Hope with this one out the way we can pick ourselfes up again, and hopefully have Stevie start games with Bellers whenever he's fit to play. Seems like the best attacking movement we can get with Suarez out of the way.

I'm high as shit don't know how much sense this post makes :lol:

The first two goals should of been saved by Reina. It was a unusually poor game for him. The 3rd goal was a peanlty, and if it was a penalty, then according to the rules of the game, Skrtel should of been red carder, he wasn't, so this means that there was doubt in the refs mind that it was a penalty in the first place.

Crap source, but it itsn't the only source that has said it.

would be an ok aquisition I guess, however, maybe for the price he wont. one thing is certain, he can score goals, and we need goals.

I believe they have a witness who was sat pretty close to the guy, and he said it was racist too.

Can't find source of this anymore though...

It would've been easy for the player to have mistaken manc bastard for black bastard but I doubt the people sat around him would all have misheard him

Also, did they start singing the Suarez song after this incident? Or did it start before? If after, not a great move.

Thanks for that, I had been searching for a reply from either Oldham or Adeyemi but couldn't find any... League 1 section, ofcourse.
