I love how we're being talked about as title contenders now.

I don't care about the title (well i do, but not in the sense it's my main aim for this season), Champions League football is an absolute must now.

But all credit to Brendan Rodgers, i try to give anyone and everyone linked to Liverpool a chance, but even i was wary at his appointment, i'm glad i've been proven wrong!

Brendan Rodgers was always a pretty decent option for us to turn to, it was just who he was replacing that made it tough to swallow imo.
But he did great so far, top 4 certainly the most important and I'm pretty convinced we won't do any better then that. Top 4 + Suarez golden boot please

Well I guess I should've been bothered judging by yesterdays game!
Though you could also blame BR for sticking Gerrard in a messy situation. 2nd half was alot better and we should've won it judging by the 2nd half. Though, we probably should've been 1-5 down in the first half aswell lol.

A 3 man midfield works for us, so I don't know why Brendan occassionally experiments a 2 man midfield. Gerrard doesn't have the legs for a 2 man midfield, particularly as the deepest player. We need a new CM imo. Heard a rumour that Stevie is going to retire after the WC

I think we're wasting our time trying to learn Gerrard into a more defensive midfield role, considering for one thing that he's keeping Joe Allen out of the team, not that i think Allen is better and should be in front of Gerrard, but Allen is gonna be at Anfield if he's not sold after Gerrard is gone, so he should be getting blooded into the role.

I think he should be playing where he is best suited, a box to box midfield role, he can start and if he can't play the full 90, come off as a sub, or come on as a sub later in the game in that role, i do think he can play the defensive role, but at 33, it's a little late to be learning the role, i'd rather we get another year or two of him playing good football in the attacking mindset (as we seen he can do yesterday still in the second half) rather than spending 2/3 years playing decent defensivley.

Whatever is best for the team.

Yeah, I'd rather Allen play instead of Gerrard rather then changing a formation that works.

I don't like Allen that much tbh. He loses the ball too easy and doesn't have a great passing range for a possession "expert". A very good back up player to have though
