right, where do I start? this album is not what i normally listen to as I prefer metal to all other types of music. however, that does not mean I don't listen to other types. i can still say that this is a fucking superb album, every song is just fantastic and his voice is unique.

give it a try people, its really worth getting.

Repetive Choruses.
Slow ending verse.

I would be very careful about criticising ole' Blunty for using conventional song structures. A lot of the more mainstream metal bands also use fairly simple structures - Simplicity isn't always bad.

They make effort to change songs quite abit.
Most bands have songs that other band's songs structures follow the exact same.

But "Your Beautiful" "Goodbye my Lover" sound exactly the same in structure.

Again, be careful with your big generalisations there. Do you consider Black Sabbath, Maiden, Slayer, or Priest to be shit because they have all sold 10M + albums?

Often it is the case that the real innovators of a genre also gain mass appeal.

Caliban ? , is metal core but ... wtf is mainstream anyway rofl and how do you actually seperate all those genres from bands lol , children of bodom got like 3 different types in their music ,Power metal, Melodic death metal and Melodic black metal. i really get confused in knowing all this info and just have the feeling like ,fuck it can't learn it all, its even more info than the history of the war of vietnam lol

edit : lamb of god are also partly metal/metalcore but got thrash metal with metalcore, along with some death metal influences :/

The only metal band there is slayer, but the solos are terrible, and slayer arent mainstream, alot of people don't like them, who cares if they sold 10m+ albums, there about 500yr old

Actually, all 4 are established metal bands. You completely fail at understanding "context". Of course Priest & Sabbath won't sound particularly hard compared to say, Morbid Angel or Suffocation, but they came out 10-20 years before. Without Sabbath or Priest there would be no heavy metal

Oh, and Cannibal Corpse are laughably badl. Try Suffocation or Morpheus Descends for death metal which is actually innovative, rather than just apeing the same shit Obituary and Deicide were making a few years ago.
