i think black metal is no different than emo and hardcore. all the bands sound the same, sing the same, and write about the same stuff. bands like those are just in for it for the money and fame. it's so rare nowadaysto find bands that are just in it for the music, and that's what they do.

My god, you stereotype more than George Bush! Black metal is entirely different from hardcore and emo, pay attention to their lyrics and listen to more than one black metal band. They're lyrics are linked with Satan, Satanism, Anti-Christian or evil. Their vocals are screeched, growled and sometimes choked.

Emo is where people feel really emotional about something; losing a loved one, a relationship or something that makes them suffer emotionally. They really put their hearts in this kind of music so don't judge them as money-making yet. Their vocal styles is sometimes crying, singing loudly, shouting, and their lyrics are MUCH different than black metal.

Hardcore (sometimes referred to as metalcore) is entirely different. Hardcore is more like attack-themed, confrontations, sometimes Evil and satan but not as much as black metal, which leads the lyrical relationships. Hardcore vocals are almost always shouting, sometimes just sung by a guy. Lyrics are attacking, confronting, that sort of thing, or suffering, but not like Emo.

Do you even know what metal is? Seriously, listen to a couple emo bands, black metal bands and hardcore bands and come back with a brighter knowledge of metal.

what i meant is the concept of black metal is no different that emo and hardcore. which is a group of gys get together and make the same thing that othr bands in their genre make. they dont show passion for their music, they just want to what everyone else is doing which is making money and a name of theirself. i know that they're waaaay different than emo and hardcore music, they're death metal which a bunch of grunts and screams. trust me, i know quite a bi about all kinds of music, i know their difference, and i'm not saying all black metal bands are like that, just most are.

LOL, there are a few I have seen in leeds but they are emo's or wear slipknot hoodies. Just mall core trash to fit in with the white community and at concerts there about as welcome as aids lol.

Hardcore can refer to a style of music, not Metalcore alone.

All That Remains has a main Hardcore infulence on music, while Metalcore bands like Trivium do not.

I'm not familar with the phrase post-hardcore, but I think its what I just refered to as above.

I mostly refer hardcore as a term for a genre of Punk.
