So I was right.

Everyone WAS going to vote for Lordi for their AWESOME gimmick despite how bad they are, pmsl.

I watched all the voting and some of the acts. Fuckin hell fire, Eurovision is cringeworthy but piss funny. What a shambles it was (the hosts didnt have a clue!) and for 90% of the countries i correctly picked who they were gonna give the 12 pts to. Its all about geography :wink:

The entire thing is political, doesn't really matter how good/bad the band is, every country votes for other countries they get along with. However I do think that Finland deserved to win because they were completely different to every other country! Terry Wogan's comments are mint:
"Spain lost the plot years ago!"

Was a little dissapointed that parents were not warned about the appearance of the Finnish band that won. I let my 7 and 5 year old stay up to watch the competition as a treat. As I know many other parents did. Shame that what has in the past been a fun song competition for the whole family to enjoy has upset so many children and been the cause of nightmares. Feel the organisers of Eurovision should have said such costumes were inappropriate for this event.

Eurovision is an annual competition between the European countries where we all submit a singer/band and they sing and every country votes for who they want to win (you can't vote for your own country obviously). Its mostly political, as neighbouring countries vote for each other no matter how bad they are. Most countries take part, but Italy can't be arsed (who can blame them!?) and the whole thing is so horrendously bad its worth watching to laugh at everyone.

The UK fails miserably practically every year. The last time we won was like 1997?
