Film buffs unite

Postby Lazer » Sat Oct 14, 06 10:07 am

i've just bought a years subscription to cineworld with 1 of those unlimited pass things, along with my gf. so over the course of 1 year i intend to go see most films that come out, cept shite like 'The Queen'. last night i saw 'The Departed' (quality cast, DiCaprio good as always but Nicholson stole the fucking show), and tonight its 'The Devil Wears Prada' to keep the missus sweet.

I recommend these passes to everyone who likes films. Way i see it, it will save me shitloads on buying dvds and curb my addiction to buying em.

Do they have these in america?

I'd love to buy an all year pass.

Shame I don't have the income or free time to support it.

you can pay 10.99 a month for 12 months or just pay the full whack of 131.88 for the year. i took the annual plan (couldnt be arsed setting up direct debit), gf did the monthly plan which is more hassle.

Yeah, yeah we do. Also we get all of our meat from the roaming buffalo (which is still not extinct) and the deer, and we grow crops, ALL OF US GROW CROPS.

The Departed kinda sucked though, but then again, any film with that artsy fartsy boy Leonardo sucks automatically.

We were talking about things that make the USA look a bit stupid, not modern ways all over the world.

Went to see 'The Devil Wears Prada' tonight (its free from now on so why not) mainly for the missus. First hour is watchable, then gets boring. I suppose if you are a girl, or like to hang out with mainly girls (as many on here would lead me to believe) you will probably like it.

Bring on 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning' midweek.

Last week i went and watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. It was practically a carbon copy of the other one. I am a fan of horror movies but tbh, this one was pretty shit.

The second film i saw this week was The Grudge 2, which is not as good as the first. Still ok for a couple of scares but you know what is coming everytime, it was too predictable.

Next up - Saw III

It's been too long since I've gone to see a film at the cinema. I might go this week, any recommendations?

I thought the Saw3 advert was a piss take or something, when he says remember these numbers and it sounds like he's going to say 2/3 and it turns into like 10 and I started laughing. Turns out it wasn't a comedy :(

I actually found Saw very laughable.
When life gives you lemons... Squeeze them into your eyes and run across a busy intersection, faggot.
