Printer Color Management

Postby Tonnochi » Wed Oct 24, 07 8:39 pm

I'm out of black ink and I seem to recall a method where you can still manage prints with just a color cartridge. It changes black to a very dark shade of green or something. Can anyone help? Do I need a special printer program?

Change all the black in the document to a very dark shade of green or blue if you're really desperate.

Can't. It's a picture and I can't do that with paint.

Saw it the first time, chose not to respond because I don't appreciate stupid posts such as that. It's not an answer to my question.

WHAT!?

"I'm out of black ink, I need to print something".

=Buying ink. Like £5 and could have been bought in time you created this topic and now.

I doubt you will get a reply, I mean, you want to turn a picture all very very dark green/blue with paint? It will still be visably the wrong colour however dark it is. Invert Colours? All I got to suggest. How about visit Microsoft or something, not a gaming forum if you are going to be a nob.

The printers usually suggest that automatically when you press "Ok" in the print dialog. If yours didn't, you could've updated the drivers and software from the official site of the manufacturer. In all of my Epsons that is by default.

In older printers they don't seem to do that, although I know a few that do. I still think it's just easier to buy ink, as you can quite easily tell it's not black, but dark blue?
