I have set up MCR but don't use Nephthys upload throttle, as I would much rather get the download overwith ASAP. A nice but probably pointless feature would be size-dependant throttle (i.e. hoster can choose if nephthys uses throttle for all uploads or just over a certain size, which could be specified).
I think that would be useful because, only with small maps, getting the download over in seconds rather than minutes is useful. But then again, with big maps, getting a nice balance between upload and player bandwidth would be good.
I was gonna try using FTP for web support tonight (for the first time), but i'm too exhausted. Installed Linux, which fucked up my boot loader and then I couldn't access windows, so had to reinstall everything.... up till 1am =(
FTP may be worth a try for that extra bit of speed, although personally I find your average http download is fast enough for the sizes of files related to DX. (just discovered GetRight... wow)
==================== IRRELEVANT FROM NOW ON, BUT I CAN'T STOP RAMBLING ===
Got Deus Ex running and hosting fine under Puppy Linux

The coolest thing is, I have Puppy Linux AND wine AND Deus Ex all running 100% in a RAMdisk. Tis a shame that the computer I'm using today is on loan by a very trusting friend... =(
