Big prob helP!

Im here to Announce i will be off the net for a couple of days from tuesday till unknown my pc has to be fixed

My prob:
My pc just cuts power when im playin deus ex or doing nothing (like browsing the web)
And if i look at my screen like now the screen flickers i dunno what it is
i have no idea what to do but if any of u guys can help me with this before tuesday that would be awesome.

Maybe some kind of problem with your PSU? But if your screens flickering as well then I'd check your plug socket. Have you got more that one thing going into one socket? Whenever I turn my TV on which goes through the same socket as the monitor, then the screen flickers a bit and looks like it's missing a couple of horizontal lines

Sounds like a number of problems, number 1 sounds like its the PSU, (Power Supply Unit) and number 2 is either, your monitor tube about to go, so you will need a new monitor, or it could also be your graphics card, but to be honest it sounds more like your monitor.

wel like i said its not only the monitor that goes out but my whole pc and it only happens now when i play games wich takes RAM i think the problem lies there

AMD Athlon 1.4ghz 256mb ram :shock: 128mb vid card enough?

hmmm

ur processor isnt powerful enough to overheat
unless ppl constantly have sex in ur room and heat the surroudings

i have no idea

just use ur new PC when it comes

sounds like cheep genaric ram now remember kiddies if tis not kingston or corsair dont touch it


edit: btw any processer can overheat make sure the processers heat sink is all clean

yeah u guys were right i got this new vc and my pc has only 1 fan ¬_¬ now i added a vent to my back of the pc(lol) and it doesnt shut down anymore thank you all
