Redsun 2020 problems.

Postby Bob » Thu Dec 22, 05 12:23 am

I had this mod on my old pc but never got around to finishing it. So I downloaded it this morn' and tried to install it. It gave me an error message saying that DX was not installed.

Maybe it has something to do with my partitioned hard-drive?

Anyway, any suggestions on how one would fix this major bloody crisis I have here?

There was a similar error for Moop's Maps & Mods pack.
I don't have Deus Ex installed 'officially' aswell, since I reinstalled Windows, but Deus Ex was still functional. Moop made a patch for this problem, I would ask him if I were you.

I think installer fix works only on Moop's map pack.

The problem appears because of lack of proper entry in your Windows registry.

Since pirate Deus Ex installers in Russia don't put any entries to registry (and we like playing RedSun too) we've made a fix, which should work on legal versions too.

Try it
download.php?id=1745

To say truth it is stupid to add such protections into installers.

It's a legal copy. I'll give it a try and get back to you anyway.

Edit: Yeh, that fixed it. Cheers Dae.
