Deus Ex Alpha

iv installed from deus ex files archive a thing called dxammie and iv hosted a server and it all seems ok but it dosent shot up on internet list and the master uplink adress thingy is false do i need to make it true and what i need to type in master server adress please help me with this

Ok, firstly, if you have a router, follow this guide:

Once you've followed the Ports guide, try hosting again and see if anyone can see it. The error with the MasterServer's is normal, everyone gets it, and it doesn't need to be fixed.

Ok, post your DeusEx.ini and your Server.log. They are in MyComputer --> C:(Drive) ->> DeusEx ->> System. Look at this guide if your confused:

Omg Kaiden, your System drive has FAR too much memory.
It shouldn't have more than 20GB, while the rest of the capacity goes to DATA.

I think the shop I bought it from just added more so it cost more, I can install stuff there though, so it's always useful.

maybe you need to open the ports?

I already talked to him about that on a DX server. He said he opened the ports.
I also offered him to send me a screen shot of his port forwarding configuration window, which he did not do yet.

iv had some help from imperial of port forwarding .com and iv forwarded ports and i just need to update my router any idea what to do guys?

im not on my main computer and theres 3 coms taht connect to 1 adapter do i have to forward that main adapter?

Looks like you joined, logged in as Admin, then left.

Yes, you will have a "Router" if you have more than one computer in your house that uses the internet. Your router must be configured to allow some of Deus Ex's functions to access the internet, i.e. contacting GameSpy about hosting etc.. (Right?)

Opening the ports is quite simple (Once you know how to do it!)

I think I posted this already, but follow this guide by [A]lex on opening ports for your router:

The most important functionality is, that the router passes the gamedata packets that come frome outside on port 7790 to the right local PC.
