hi ive finnaly managed to host a server (thanks to ur sticky forum) but when i log in in hte internet side.. one i dont get my welcome massage, and 2 when i admin login, i dont have any powers. like summon etc.. how i fix?

Do you have DXMTL installed?
Did you specify MOTD ("message-of-the-day") text?
Did it show the message that you logged in as administrator?

well i dont really know what DXMTL is ....

DXMTL is the only cheating/anti-hack protection for Deus Ex servers. It also fixes some errors, security vulnerabilities and adds some new features (like password field in the server browser). Most of servers and experienced players use DXMTL.

You can get it here (clickable). Read the readme.txt file with detailed instruction on installation. You have to close Deus Ex beforehand, of course.

To ensure that your server is fully protected, install another mod called Nephthys. In case with Nephthys, the program will make changes where necessary by itself.

After installing, try to run your server again, and see if you encounter any of those problems.

just one last thing... where do i find out the summon names for funline mods? like the cheatbot gresel....

CheatBot Greasel was part of Allan's Mod (I forget the name) I'm quite sure, however I am unsure where to download it..

Nope, not mine. Mine's similar, but plays different sounds, and is a SpiderBot.

ok ive got the class list... but how do i summon funline mods? ive installed smg_mod and i can summon cheatbots... but i dunno how to summon funline stuff..

also when i use matrx mode... nothing happens.... can anyone explain why???

one more thing [A]Nodbody... do u have any more SG maps other than area 51 and cmd??? (SG fan )

and does anyone have the default values for the mutate mod? ie groun fricton and gravity... etc... cause my players are ice stating....

I think you should download FLServersV3, then add it to ServerPackages, then summon — the codes are here

I know it works for me cause ive used it on other servers... it just dont wok on my server....

Matrix mode changes the players Sprite or Texture variable, or something.

DXMTL and such prevent this, meaning matrix mode doesn't work.

it always works for me on DXMTL servers too, but I had that problem on my old computer like 3 years ago

close your server, open DeusEx.ini (configuration file), then Edit -> Find, "ServerPackages", then add a new line ServerPackages=FLServersV3

ok that works thanks.... now.. is there any way to get the SG maps mods (like singleget) on other maps??? cause [A]Nobody.. those mods ROCK!!!!! O.O ...

also does anyone know whetere Jim Bowen made his own mads?? or wheter there avaiave for download??? cause i LOVED his mod... exspeaccily the teleporter and vortex grenades x_x

SingleSet and SingleGet are special commands for the SG_MOD.
But they could be extracted and added as mutate commands to a mutator, though.

also... when i host an sg server.. its a lil buggy.. i cant change map w/o crashing, and noone has ever joined... it just says [NAME] is about to join the server... why?

also whats the summon names for ur neutron reactor bomb, CLAW launcher and CLAM grenades also in cmd how u open the compartment with the secret claw... also.. if u either teach me how to make mods.. or could u make a vortex grenade mod please :):):):):):):) one that makes a wormhole and sucks everything nearby into it killing it instantly... even the thrower...

i think jim bowin made it!! but i havent seen him host for a long time once he gave me admin XD i went to the most deserted map, spawned a load of crates and grenades and shoved a grenade on top of the crate

and i dun care if its buggy. I WANT IT O.O

oh btwe nobody, i know wy peeps are not getting in my server o.o they too lazy to dl it.. ive had about 8 diff peeps in there

and it dont crash now o.o
