Scanner issue =/

Postby Gishank » Thu Sep 06, 07 10:10 am

Alright, after the PC Gamer topic, i actually decided to get myself a brand new state of the art all in one scanner....

However, when i scan something, it appears in my program, so i double click it, and it is all grainy as such... Like someone got a glass of sand and sprinkled it over the image.. Though, the scanner had only just had its protective plastic film removed.... =/

Either you bought a very cheap scanner, or you haven't set a proper mode (like fast scanning without quality). Also, the image after scanning is very large and usually appears zoomed in image editors, that's why it may seem that it's grainy...
Actually it's normally a little bit grainy, it shouldn't be noticeable and very distinctive.

Did you install all the drivers and software needed for the scanner? Which program do you use for scanning?

Have you tried scanning your face yet? I used to do that with my old scanner, its ancient but really good quality. I should actually use it again one day..
