Hotlinking is perfectly fine?? WOOHOO!

By the way, I don't mean to be picky about your tutorial.... but, even though I understood it fine (perfectly written!), I would like to point out that the web hosting company you named DO NOT give free hosting for files over 500kb.

When pasting the URL of files over 500kb into address bar, I get redirected to a promotional page for the company.

TNAG, Supermod and a few others are little buggers to find online... so with your permission I would like to continue to use them for my web support.

This forum just oozes intelligence and class. I may start browsing regularly.

It's a really rubbish website, but I'd appreciate it if a few people took a quick look at http://www.d-x-s.co.nr and see what you think. Don't get the wrong idea btw, the clan isn't rcruiting so I'm not member poaching. I'm just proud of my website lol.

Hmm I wasn't aware of any upload limits on the host I suggested.. Also it was just a suggestion, there are quite a few others out there! Just have a look around, i you need to upload bigger files.

Ok, thanks! And thanks to the other dude (sorry man, forgot your name) for giving me the ej site!

I'll continue to use the dxalpha links for a little while. It's not munching much of your bandwidth coz very few players have nephthys client and/or server installed.

...but I am going on a great big mojofunkin' "Everyone Install Nephthys!" crusade pretty soon, lol.

(my server is hosted on an 8yr old P3 450MHz, 128Mb RAM, 40Gb HD Win XP SP2 pc, so at least with nephthys it can be about 80% lag/20% playability as opposed to 90/10 lol)

Anyway, looking forward to see the site.... and hoping for maybe some changes? As I personally think (this isn't a huge criticism) that the [A] site has become what many sites that have forums have become.... everything is concentrated on the forum, and the site starts to look a little stagnant.

Also I don't know why but last time I checked there were a few links missing on the Mini Machina page.

Adios.

The site KB is updated when a article that people would find interesting comes to mind, or someone requests one.

The site news is updated when there is something we feel people should know

The projects can only be updated when we have released something. The reminds me, the Physics gun needs to go in there if it hasn't already.

We try to keep the site up to date, but you may have noticed it's down at the momment, and so will your web-support untill it comes back online. The site problems are being resolved, so we hope to have your web support enabled soon.

Ejam is another problem though, there "Terms of Agreement" apparently entitle you cannot use there services for web support of any form. Klop reported Ales for it, and his account was closed. It's fine using our download page for your web support too. If you have any mods/maps that arn't there, and you need somewhere to host them, I can happily set them up on my personal space in www.dxalpha.com/users/Kaiden (Down at the momment). PM me with any thing you want added there! It's fast as-well. =D

Enjoy.

Ok, thank you very much for that offer.

I'm ok at the mo, the [A] Downloads Archive is pretty exhaustive!

Btw, http://downloads.dxalph.... blah blah blah is back up.

It seems just the site is down now.

I'm still SO glad of your tutorial, by the way! Web support was nothing short of a bitch to set up, with the majority of the problems caused/reinforced by the not-very-helpful documentation included with Nephthys.

I spent literally hours sitting, blankly staring at the console, trying fuckloads of different combos.... lol it went something like:

npt web support
npt web support (url)
npt web oh for fuck's sake
npt fucking npt
erm.... *turns bAllowDownloads on under networking*
*leaves for a cigarette*
npt web toggle

oooh.... getting somewhere...

npt web su...oh, no, I screwed something up again...

www.dxalpha.co.uk/kb/

npt web supp.... OMG I DID IT!

Lol. I've actually forgotten the point of this post, but it was something along the lines of a clumsy thankyou to your good self!

Btw, the [A] archives have an outdated version of Nephthys. (1.4100 or something). The latest version is located here: http://zzora.altervista.org/Nephthys_v1.4a123_inst.zip[/url]

I signed up to your site the the other day Shinobi, and it seems I am no longer registered... looks like you been hacked since my comment on the poll is no longer there, and your forums says you been hacked by [4]. http://www.dxsoldiers.deusexnetwork.com/forum/index.php

Yay, another one trying to destroy the community. Wankers. Anyway, I've had no problem with Ejam. Though I don't have a Web Support site and Klop's a wanker. He threatened to report my site and it'd get shut down because HE wanted it shut down.

AquaShock - I'd like to apologise for the random deletion of your good self!

I was fiddling with user management and a few people got lost along the way...

Our forums were indeed hacked by [4] - I have just been conversing with Batch. Whom I shall stab at some point, lol.

My site is fine, I think it's fairly secure. My MySQL db and webspace are fully secured. Only a good, bona fide hacker will get inside those.

So yeah - I messed it up and you got deleted, I'm sorry.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as web download goes - I'm starting my crusade today lol, trying to get everyone I know to download and install Nephthys client!

So go get it.... http://zzora.altervista.org/Nephthys_v1.4a123_inst.zip

Lol... I just figured out I can run my server from within UCC in command prompt.... that'll use less virtual memory on my 8 yr old beige box which I'm ashamed to call my pc...
