Sounds keep screwing..

Postby Karkian » Sun Sep 23, 07 7:13 am

Hey people, I've got another problem. When I play Deus Ex sometimes my sounds randomly blink out, like you hear the sounds and the sounds just turn off. This happens rarely, and I have to go for a computer restart inorder for me to hear again. This has only happened when I started using OpenGL and when I was changing my DeusEx.ini and was trying to make my sounds sound 'cooler'. Then when it happened I went back into my Default.ini and got the default settings back. Then it still happens. This had never happened in other renders BUT OpenGL. I've attached the DeusEx.ini so someone can take a look at that. But thanks, restarting is bugging me a lot.

Renderer is a graphics-related driver, it's not anyhow connected with the sound, well — as far as I know. Most likely your problem conceals in sound drivers in Windows. But well, try another settings.

Kinda irrelevant but I have some weird sound problems in SP maps, when playing in Multiplayer (I know, I know, why host SP maps...), and this only affects me when using the OpenGL renderer, too.

So althought Dae is correct, I'd say that nothing ever works as it's theoretically supposed to...

...and maybe your sound drivers had a bit of a tiff with your video drivers.

Also, try here for the latest openGL renderer. Failing that use D3D coz AFAIK it gives better performance anyway.

Time to hijack.... could someone help me with my renderer-relate problem, too? I'll go post it now.

Shin.
PS: If someone from [A] says somethign different to me, I'd say ur probably better off listening to them lol coz my knowledge is basic.
