Hi all.

I'm having some troubles with Majin, who is REALLY pissing me off over @ the DXS forums.

He somehow manages to change his IP address. He doesn't even have an IP range, as his addresses vary HUGELY.

The only thing I can think of is that he is using an anonymous proxy service (e.g. GhostSurf or similar).

Would there be any way of finding out his MAC address even through these proxy services? And does anybody know of a way of banning MAC addresses in phpBB2?

I know this is a bit of a techno-gabble question, it's just he's really pissing me off. And he says he's unbannable and I wanna shut the bastard up.

it's practically impossible

keep banning his usernames, turn on activation by e-mail on registration, and disallow guest posting if it isn't yet

Lmfao, He could be using a proxy like Tor, or he could unplug his modem, and it gives a slight change in your ip. Im not going to give tips on how to ban him properly since he's ma buddy, But you may have to write something to ban his mac address.

If I was you, I would download a mod that blocks all dynamic Ip's.

Or you can use the Administration Authentication.

Yeah, turn off guest posting, add Admin Activation, delete any accounts he makes. He will get bored soon enough.

Oops lol.

I always don't explain myself fully. I ment the IP address that he changes it to. There is a mod that can detect that, like Nobodys Deus Ex mod.

I don't dislike or hate MAjin, as DXMP isn't important enough for me to get personal.

Dae, I have disabled guest posting in the sub-forums he tends to post in, and I have banned his original IP range, but as I said, he has very different IP's almost everytime he posts.

Delete his accounts! And try doing what I recommended.

Anyone would get bored soon to create a new email + new account + confirm account by email everytime to post a few messages before getting caught.

Justs delete all new accounts that you do not know. After a while things should be ok again, as he would get bored. He told me 2 days ago that he had no interest in any further hacking, you must of said or done something to irritate him?

I got no beef with the dude really, I just want him to quit hacking and calm down his hostility.
