Random Deus Ex Shut Down?

My Deus Ex sometimes randomly shuts down when joining a server:

Lol, because of an annoying bug in my mod, MMUserInterface. Uninstall the mod :) It's no longer required, as there is only 1 MasterServer.

Ok, nobody would take any notice of the post if i edited so here we go.

I don't normally ask these types of questions because I could sort them out myself but I uploaded all the files when I downloaded MTL off here again, because MM did not work, and this message comes up when I double click on Deus Ex.

Post your DeusEx.ini please :) Remove your adminpassword if you host a server.

It wouldn't be bad if you released a newer bugless version of the mod, just in case something nasty happens with GameSpy again. We could make an imitation of masterserver's response to client on a subdomain here, so master.dxalpha.co.uk could be written into mod's config and used as a backup.

They got shutdown by somebody then lol?

Sorry, I was absent from Deus Ex during the time Deus Ex Master Servers/MP was down.

The Gamespy masterserver was never offline, just it was attacked by dejavu and the likes.

I bloody hate Alex's MMUserInterface Mod! Three times I tried it, three times it kicked my server list into never never land!

Lol. Ya think I woulda learnt.... nope, not me.

Speaking of master servers, I actually set one up the other day, and my mate who hosts a server called Destiny's End, he added my server into his masterserver list and it worked! But I followed the Nephthys instructions on setting one up, so I dunno if I did it right so everyone could use it?

Also, does it take many resources to host a masterserver?

I onced tried to create an mIRC based MasterServer. It turned out quite good, to be honest!

Maybe I should hire some cheap Russian php coder, who would code a php5 masterserver?

DX Servers entered the IRC channel as guests, DX client would enter the channel, and retreive all guest names :P (Which was IP~Port).

It required a special mod for the client & server side though.

But still, nice idea!

I use the ucc.exe DOS program thingy.

I quite like the idea of hosting a master server.

Someone once told me that server ptograms can be configured to run from webspace... I dont see how, but Alex...you'd know.... is it possible?
