Alright, i have a 2Mbit con at current. When i use firefox, or download something via FireFox i get a max download rate of 120KBp/s; However, if i download something externally, eg. Limewire, MBInstaller, Game Patcher Software, UTorrent.... It gets around 240Kbp/s... =s Help?

Nope, my pc is the only thing connected to the internet. It is connected to my PC by a direct cable.
Also, i did the tests exactly one after another, i just tried again, same situation.

are you sure there server you're downloading from doesn't limit you to 120 KBp/s?

I was downloading Nero today at speed of 2 MBytes per second. They have a nice server, try downloading something from there just for a test purpose.

also, try this: http://www.speedtest.net

and I highly recommend to spend 10 minutes at installing and setting up FlashGet download manager with Flashgot Firefox plugin. Sometimes it triples the speed.

My speed is compatible to what i'm paying for on speed test.

And yes, their site does not limit my speed. And yes, their server is relatively in the same place as the external way i attempted....

Perhaps your ISP limits the traffic on your HTTP port.

Nope. I used an external program (Movie Battles Installer), which uses either HTTP, or FTP. I selected HTTP and it downloaded at 220-252 KBps =/
