Perhaps a form of ddos? Don't know who would do that, but I doubt anybody would have to guess as to who would be behind something like that. also, wtf is up with the warning thing under my avatar?

I believe I've seen that error before... Don't remember anything that could help though.

Looks an awful lot like Unrcrash, but it's supposed to be fixed by Nephthys.

Person responsible is SIKE

Are you saying the program used is called uncrash?

I'm not sure that it's Unrcrash, but seeing as it's sike, it's quite possible that it is. Please install the latest version of Nephthys.

Can you post the entire server.log? Or PM it to me, if you don't want to post it out on the public.

You may trouble removing all IPs, but Alpha probably already has all IPs, by running 3 servers and a forum (Not to brag, more like, no need to waste a lot of time on it)

Unrcrash gave way different error? =\

It didn't spam the log with FMAllocWindows errors, more like one critical error and then a nice forced shutdown.

The FMAllocWindows error is pretty much an error which can happen sometimes in any Unreal engine game. Okay, It shouldn't happen, but unless you keep getting the error all the time, there's nothing to be afraid of I think.

Well im pretty sure depends at what time the attack happens as to what the server was doing at that exact moment as to what kinds of faliures you might recieve.

Oh updated verision of Nepthys has been installed as of today.

Well, you can't really judge what the cause was from a single crash like this, possible issues are:

game messed up itself
a weird bug not done on purpose by the executor
OS messed up in a way
too less ram
corrupt ram

There's many possibilities to continue the list with, I simply named a few examples. If you don't really feel safe until whatever caused it is resolved, all I can say is that you should just keep on the lookout for such stuff happening again. If the problem doesn't come to occurence again, your server would be just fine and it was probably a little mess up of the old dx engine, which is far from perfect in some ways.

As for UnrCrash, the bug was that you could (due to a bug which is now fixed by nephthys) let a server ready an amount of ram. Now, if you chose an unrealistic high amount of RAM, the server simply was forced to shutdown, as Windows gave an error regarding the RAM (More RAM was requested than available, so it can not comply, and is forced to shut the server down)

Servers attacked by this method simply gave a critical error from windows, in server.log and shut down nicely further, instead of simply crashing, like what seems to have happened here.

Regardless of what happen it was most surely a attack from SIKE this i know for a fact...

My server never crashes due to the fact I limit the server from ever reaching it's full potenital...

Sike might not be the most trustworthy person regarding this subject, but simply because he was in your server at that time doesn't mean he did it. (He could've still done it, but he's not the only possible cause.)

Keep in mind that the engine of DX isn't flawless, if the server crashes it could be because of the engine, instead of your server. Having the best hardware out there doesn't fix any problems of the game itself.

Oh I have no doubts as I said before.

I agree dx sometimes does wierd things but NEVER have I had server crashes that weren't prevoked.

Running a server for over 6yrs. You know whats normal and whats not.

Also I have pushed them past there limits and the crashes are way different.

Just because you never had unprovoked crashes like these before doesn't mean they do not exist.

But well, I guess I will just give some more information regarding the error:

The error comes to existance when memory couldn't be allocated properly to the server. Usually this would mean that the computer which runs it, has too less RAM memory or too less virtual memory. If that ain't the case, then it is either due to something caused by Windows/Linux, whatever your OS is, or due to something caused by the game.
