Exactly what mod or code does someone need to have a password box?

Indeed, MTL does it, but you can delete say and type in the IP with :Password: and other complicated things lol.

That's not complicated.

And also d'uh, MTL is obvious. q

What about the Password= field in User.ini? Is that the same variable?

Like Kaiden said, you can use the password variable.

Did ya know, in any server you can instantly travel to another server?

E.g: when I play in my server (which is located at ftf.servegame.com), if I type open 82.18.154.81 I will travel to my mate's server, Destiny's End. (he has a static IP - I don't, so I set up a domain with dynamic IP update)

So, let's say you had the misfortune of playing in my server, and you wanted to travel to another (I'll use my mate's as an example), which was protected with password "n00bmuncher", you would do the following:

1. Delete say. (no shit sherlock!)
2. type open 82.18.154.81:n00bmuncher (i think)

Not totally certain aboutthe password bit, tho.

It is the variable for hosters.

Without MTL, you can delete say and type: open serverip:serverport?password=password, e.g.

open 192.168.161.1:7790?password=mypass

You can make a map and host it on two servers, and add a teleporter that teleports you to the other server, right?

In theory that is possible.

Awhile back I made a map called [GODZ]Ship_v2 or something like that, and its pitch black and as you spawn you fall into a teleporter that sends you to Rhino's Server. I renamed the server to look like Godz server. At that time too many people played on godz and didn't go anywhere else, so I tested this out. A good few did come in, but they left rhinos once they figured out where they were. lol

Haha, I think that is the best mod to make a popular server. Fill a game up with servers hosted off your computer, with the same map, but different names, that takes you to the same server.

It is possible, i did that on a LAN a while ago.

Interesting. I actually think that's quite a novel idea. It has a fair amount of practical joke potential.

Not sure how to do it though...

Thanks for correcting me about the password variable Dae.
