Okay, even though I can barely afford it I was thinking about buying an 8800GTS 640MB... but since I don't really know much on computers I was wondering if someone could please help me, k?

So my computer is 42cm in length, and I saw on some website that the GTS is approx. 23cm. So my questions are:

1. Do you think the 8800 will fit okay inside my computer?
2. Do you think I will need an extra cooling system for the GFX card since I'm also gonna upgrade to 2GB RAM. (Does RAM make the computer more hot? lolol)
3. If I need an extra fan for the cooling then do you think that will fit in my computer too?
4. Would you recommend a better GFX card?
5. How much do you think a computer shop would charge to fit it in? For example PC World. (Apparently they're shit but meh.)

Oh ye also what power supply should I get? 500W? o_o

(No offense to those who have a 8800GTS, there is nothing wrong with it, but buying it new now wouldn't be too clever.

Also, seriously, my friend (who is 14) managed to fit the graphics card in my PC (my wrist is fucked), and he didn't kill himself. Just make sure you TOUCH THE METAL INSIDE YOUR PC CASE FIRST TO GROUND YOURSELF. Don't get ripped off to put something that trivial in your PC. "The Tech Guys" at PC World charge alot of money for barely any work.

Also, 500-650W is recommended yes, although my 3850 isn't complaining and I am using a 450W.

And considering the 3850 is only £103 pounds with free next day delivery from this website (The exact same model and place I got mine), you're not being charged an arm and a leg for it.

ALSO ALSO ALSO, Crysis runs with some on high some on medium (Crysis is a beast), and I get a steady 30fps. COD4 runs all high 50~80fps. And Gears of War runs all high 50~ fps.

Another 20 quid or so will get you another gig of ram if you don't have 2GB already, since 2GB is mandatory these days.

Okay so what's a "motherboard model"? Is it that PCI-E thing? I think mine's PCI-E not AGP. <_>

Do I need to get the same stick of RAM that I have in my computer from Novatech too for my computer to work?

The 3870 is also a good choice.

Also, google SysSpec and run it, then post the results and I can help you farther. I don't want to help you get anything that your motherboard will not like.

what fps you get in dxmp with that thing? have you tried on lowest settings?
