Right, well. I need the following file to be scanned for viruses. I personally have scanned it with both Kapersky, and AVG Free Edition, however; People keep claiming that there are viruses in it. Aswell as the fact about an ActiveX Program (Which i wasn't asked to give permissions for, so i'm confused if it even exists), maybe because i didn't select to install the Active X Component. However, even scanning it afterwards, no Virus. Scanned my entire PC, no Viruses...

It's confusing really.

But anyways. Please, post your results on the file.

Wait... what? you want us to download a file which is greater than 1 GB? Just to check if it's safe? I don't think anyone here can be bothered to do that...

If both Kaspersky and AVG don't mention any virusses or whatever, it's probably safe. Be sure to try more spyware-oriented scanners like spybot SD and Ad-Aware if you really don't trust it.

Having Spybot's teatimer or Kaspersky's registry protector on (or whatever the latter is called exactly) will inform you of any important register change, so really, if you don't just accept all changes blindly and just keep your eye out for some weird register changes (like something added to the "System Startup user entry" as games shouldn't make any processes start up with windows, normally.) There's hardly any chance you're going to get in trouble with malicious crap.

If both of those don't detect is, it's fine. They're both get daily updates.

Thing is, people *Claim* that with other Anti-Virus scanners it picks up Multiple Trojans.

Sucks to be you then. If you want us to check it for you, with the best equipment possible, you'll have to pay us. If it was a file of ~30MB, we would've done it for free. But 1GB? Nope, sorry kid.

Norton let me down: Couldn't connect to the internet :shock:

Kaspersky let me own: Couldn't open some sites and internet would lag :evil:

And I wouldn't use any Free Anti-viruses

Speaking of NOD32, I detected the trojan on dxalpha.co.uk 5 days before the site went offline that time...
