Deus Ex crashes with the newest OpenGL renderer

I have downloaded and installed the newest OpenGL renderer (beta version) and enabled some of the beta functions.

I made a map and put some Derek's weapons in it to test my graphics. I can pickup those weapons normally. If I try to put them in my hand, (f.e. if the M16 was in slot "3", and if I pressed 3), the game crashes and I get the following error:

Some weapons, thou, not a-lot, work without any crashing:

(Screenshot messes up the graphics, better in-game)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Do the weapons work utilizing DirectX as well?

Yes they do.

This seems to be a problem due to the beta functions of the renderer. I've disabled them and it works.

Should I use D3D9 or OpenGL for the best quality in graphics?

I would say OpenGL.

Find a line that says LODBias= extending [OpenGL.drv] or something along those lines in DeusEx.ini and change it to -1.

Then play Deus Ex in the highest quality settings (change the graphic settings in-game, in the settings menu) and see if it works.

Highest Quality Settings in the menu already set to highest.
It's because of the EnablePatch= line which enables the beta functions.
Not really much of a change with or without it turned on.

It turns out your weapons have too amazing and powerful graphics that the renderer doesn't support them quite well

Can you please PM me the highest quality settings you set? Appreciated. :)

Bear in mind the renderers aren't actually supported in the editor.
