Hey Alpha

This program is pretty simple, it allows one to apply various fixes to get Deus Ex to run well. Here's a feature list:

-Multiprocessor fix. Applies the fix that lets DX only use one processor/core. Fixes fast/slow/jittery gameplay.
-Processor throttling disabling. Disables CPU throttling (in the same way it's done from the Windows control panel). Again, fixes fast/flow/jitte

If you have friends that stoped playing deus ex due to that they had this problems, please let them know that theres a fix

(once you downlaoded it maybe you have to make a manual browse for locate deus ex folder unless you have bought deus ex on steam)

Or you could just install mtl on your server, since that is also part of the problem for some people.

That has nothing to do with it..? And he can't because it's a server for foreign copies of DX which cannot properly support MTL. n00b down, you "specialist"

Like myself since playing in a non mtl server is less fluid experience than playing on an mtl server with the same ping.

Why are you going on about MTL? This is a hardware/local fix you absolute n33b. Pipe down and get back in your briefcase

I see little reason in playing dxmp nowadays since just about every second player has odd fire. I am no longer sure where the hax ends and my paranoia begins, but shits ridiculous. I recall certain friends of mine reporting faster belt switch times and scope times, but isnt that fixed in the game? And if those times increase so does the speed of other actions? It has been already proven that you can shoot faster with certain set up, and even move faster (consequently also taking fire from ie turrets faster). You can adjust to ping/lag somewhat, but what the fuck do you do when random blokes shoot faster than you? Its just ridiculous.

I saw some beginner stand still and go 6-0 the other day while both other teams, consisting of few decent players as well, strugged to get that score in such a small time. I myself got killed by that guy couple times. He didnt warp, he just shot faster, and theres nothing to complain about because the guy probably doesnt even understand that he does, or wont understand.

the program cant find my deus ex folder, and when i point it towards it, it says its an invalid install of deus ex..

and the other fix (for gui probs) also doesnt work..

i copied the 3 files to deus ex system folder:

changed res and color

got back to deus ex
starts up, goes to server and kicks me right back out.. any ideas??


edit: it only doenst work in multiplayer, singleplayer is fixed (1920*1080)
multiplayer i have to run on 1360*768 - >thats the highest it can take so far

TBD when the program says it doesnt locate deus ex cant you make a manual browse for locate dx?

when you get kicked out the server what error message did you get?

k so now i got the program working,
and i changed the resolution to 1920*1080 and non-scaling GUI

but when i start up multiplayer this happens:

i enter the server

message comes in upper left corner:

Code: Select all

invalid rootwindow class, disconnecting

goes back to main deus ex start up screen

what was good was that the res was indeed in 1920*1080


when i choose the option 1920*1080 and default gui, it gives me a 640*480 resolution ingame but doesnt crash

Guess what that is. Anti cheat. (i think) Changing rootwindow is not allowed, you got kicked by either my or Nobody's anti cheat program. No way to get around it.

Isn't it just deusex itself or MTL?

so any other way to change res then? since hash's link works only half..

Also possible, no idea. I think my mod checked for rootwindow as well though, just like miniMTL.

under [engine.engine], it says Root=DeusEx.DeusExRootWindow and not something else. Maybe something went wrong when you tried to mess with GUI scaling

the entire GUI scaling fix is not possible without altering Root Window afaik

Then play in 800x600 already

I would prefer to hast fast FPS bug than the silly slow FPS bug I'm having..

when i try to change it to 1920*1080 it changes
Root=DeusEx.DeusExRootWindow
to the Opt thing

TBD better you forget this program or will ruin your settings <.< the problem you had was warping and fastshot?

i used to have problems of fps - fastfiring
solved those a few months ago with tweaking some settings

the only reason i dlded your prog was to enhance my screen res

i got a new mon 1920*1080 so i wanted to try that out in dx

lol ive just got a new monitor to, 1920x1080, im getting problems too
