Deus Ex: Invisible War - Custom screen resolution

  • Go to your My Documents\DeusEx - Invisible War folder
  • Make a backup of the user.ini file and open the original
  • Search for:
      FullscreenViewportY=yyyy
      FullscreenViewportX=xxxx
    Change it to the resolution you desire to use.

Deus Ex: Invisible War - Field of view editing

If you feel that you can't stand the default 4:3 field of view settings then please follow this guide. You will need a hexadecimal editor, please click here to download a freeware program which does the job and does not require an installation.
  • Go to your installation's \system folder
  • Make a backup of the Engine.d2u file, open the original with the hexadecimal editor
  • Search for instances of AA 42 (there should be 3 in total) and replace with the following depending on your ratio:

      16:9 - Change to F0 42 to obtain a FOV of 120

      16:10 - Change to D8 42 to obtain a FOV of 108

Once done save changes to Engine.d2u and see if the game launches correctly with the FOV change.

All these changes can be found at link below: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Deus_Ex:_Invisible_War

Awkward game to tweak isn't it.

Thank you sir. I wish I seen this link, I was using a very bad guide on STEAM forums which was incorrect so I made these threads to make up for it. This seems to be more up to standard. :)

Yes very awkward, was laughing when you had to use a hexadecimal editor.

Yeah. Perhaps somebody more skilled than myself could make a patch, shouldn't be TOO hard I don't think?

Not that this game is particularly popular lol.
