Deus Ex Alpha

Greetings DeusEx online community!

After an extensive search over the internet using our beloved google I have found no results which could resolve my problem...so I decided to ask for your help.

I have the game properly installed and patched with the latest patch. After I installed DXSDK, I played with it for a couple of hours.

SDK Version - 1112F

The problem occurs when I shutdown my computer, or improperly exit the program. It gives me this message while loading files:

"Critical Error"

"General Protection Fault!"

*Bunch of lines I dont understand*

It loads the Editor, the core and then pops up the error... The program freezes and I have to shut it down... If anyone has had this problem I would be more then happy to know the solution...

Remember to make sure you install ConEdit alongside the SDK, when the installer prompts you to do so.

I would try replacing Engine.u with the one that came on the CD or with 1112fm patch.

Apparently every time I do System Restore and reinstall DeusEx it seems to work...
Works for a while, then snaps...
It would seem that either the program itself has some kind of bug that makes it incompatible with some CPUs or software editions, or... am.... something else =o

Anyways... reinstalling SDK does not help (by reinstalling I mean removing all files)
I have DeusEx v1.112fm (HDTP, Biomod, NewVision)

I have tried repactching it and still no effect (responding to "replace engine.u" advice from Dae)
