If you have Mtl installed, re-install that too.

It is know to conflict with the basic editor

It has something to do with a variable (ScriptText) in a subclass (MTLPlayer) of MTL v1.5.2 beta 1 (DXMTL152b1), so try removing all traces of that in DeusEx.ini and deleting the actual .u package in your system directory. Then re-install MTL and report back.

Seriously though, did any of you guys even READ the message?

Next time you say this on tech problems, i'll simply delete the message. It's better to shut up if the only thing you know is this incompetent solution.

Icarus
No need to reinstall something. No need to remove mtl. Let's better explore a reason.
I recommend you doing these things:
1. Post editpackages list here.
2. Remove all mods you've added. Then, try loading each one manually (go to Browse > Classes, then, load button, where you select what to load) and explore which package is the cause of the conflict.
3. Post the problematic mod's name here.

It works. It's a solution to his problem. Ofcourse, if you want him to do 23.999~ things before finding his problem out, be my guest.

seriously

what is the point in making this difficult when simply re-installing the program (which takes 5 mins) would sort it all in no time with little effort

Wouldn't fix the problem, would only make it worse. Formatting is only to be used if your OS no longer works.

Anything that messes with the Player class, as MTL makes a new Player class (MTLPlayer) will screw it up.
