ok whenever i host my server, in the log i always see the line

UdpServerQuery: Unknown query: teams

it comes up about every 10 seconds and it is lagging out my server.
Has anyone else had this, and if so how do you stop it?

Oh and it also happens when no one's even been on the server, so its not because of players.

i get it in the MTL160b3 server too .... without lag

You're not the only one getting this, MainMan. I get it too. However, I don't consider it a problem since it doesn't seem to cause lag.

Still, it's annoying me... Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

*EDIT* Perhaps all our servers have a particular mod in common that may be causing this?

yeah i think the 'mod in common' is mtl. however, ive only started getting this recently - in the past week or so.

Klop and Gressed have also complained of it. Where is it coming from?

It's the map it does it on certian maps and the only time i get lag on magus's and mainmans server is if there is someone downloading

haha no that has nothing to do with it. thats just an admin tool of mine, which is looks like a left-handed multitool, but when it is fired at someone, it sends them about 500 messages saying "LAG" (and there are about 20 shots per sec). It makes their deus ex freeze.

basically its my alternative to kicking people.


and about that problem, it seems to be better now, i just hosted for about 40 minutes and i only got 3 of those messages (in the first 2 minutes or so).

Maybe Dae was screwin with our heads.

YES MINE DOES IT TO NOW AS OF JUST RECENTLY

maybe asked [FAA]lionheart it started when he created his cheat codes and your server can't indenify teams cause lionheart doesnt want it too so his cheat will work......

i been running my server for years now using the only MTL I learned to trust which is 1.52b and never experinced nothing like this..

easy fix uninstall reinstall......

eh.. on my stargate server that occured too

so i traced the packets that received me and i ended at some ip with a 70 at the begin how i remember

i didn't see any special in it so i forgot about that again
