Deus Ex Alpha

Its on its last leg im going to try get a new computer to replace it yesterday had to wipe hardrive clean and rebuild it seems it cant multi task programs if it does it locks up hard any ideas?

note: most of locking up is in XP windows
( Example open mycomputer and Taskmanger and open network window XP, dx in server mode already will lock it up. )

Even after reinstalling Xp still continued to lock up hard and this computer is stripped down way down. Bios shut down Paralle port also no sound card or modem only has 12 proccess running shut down most of SERVICES.

I checked most of what i know to check NO confilcts anywhere in device manger...
checked in system info everything is good their.

Oh heres the best one had only dx server mode running and i hear a beep then hear harddrive beinging access connect back up to server and dx server was gone.

Mind you all that there were 14 players on smuggler it was crazy people shouting this is just like dea server.

ANY IDEAS ?

Yeh last night the server was awesome I was getting about 150 ping on it and it didn't have any laggy feel that US servers normally give.
Tis too bad mate, hope it isn't anything serious, hopefully just something simple that's been overlooked

your about the only one saying your laging maybe on your end.

Yeah, lol. I go on it and don't lag... Unless someone deliberately makes the Server lag, rofl.

RAM, How long have u had the comp, Memory, Has DX worked before...

If your computer is losing sound cards and stuff, its most likely a driver problem....trying re-installing those..

Smyth, he runs a DXMP server and has done for a long while, so DX has worked before.

Hi Dawg first off thx so much for the server its is an exceptionall server for USA and does offer better pings than any USA server ive played on.

Unsure about XP locking up thou as you done already a fresh install will work wonders.
Just in case u havnt done b4 try norton ghost to backup your C drive partition it will make the process far better without the need for reinstallation of any files.
