You need to put it into a mod then load that mod up.

You fish brained plasto fix....

.wav is useable in dx all you need to do is put it into a mod and make an import file in CLasses, then load up your mod.

well
do you want a deusex sound or a music?

if you want a sound you can even import a mp3 and save it as uax

however... if you want a DX background music..
since DX's umx files contain module files and no streaming files you won't be able to make a DX music umx file out of it

Klop, you're stupid.

Smookie, download a MP3 to WAV converter, then download modplug, save the .wav as .it, then import the .it as .umx.

i'm aware of that way but i didn't mention that because it just works with short waves.. otherwise it screws up.. at least in DX

Someone converted the Deus Ex: Conspiracy Theme from Mp3 to dx format. So it's possible, just not sure how exactly.

Changing extensions doesn't change the format of the file, <s>nubs</s>.

And first of all, I wouldn't recommend using this converted song for a DXMP map, because the size of the file will be horrible. In case if you make this map for single player, there are two ways of adding this song:
1. To use .dll library which plays any music format including mp3 and ogg, so your Deus Ex will play mp3s. If you're not interested in making your own library, you can ask TNM and 2027 mods nicely.
2. To import .wav into a pattern of a track file (download tutorial below, thx 2 Ded for giving it to me).

download a MP3 to WAV converter, then download modplug, save the .wav as .it, then import the .it as .umx.

It's four easy steps: MP3 > WAV > IT > UMX.

Easy?
