Deus Ex Alpha

Hey i wanted too launch my own server on dx, i know i sound like a grade a nub but i need too know how too actually get one working??? Any tips?

1. Install DXMTL.
2. Hit "host a game" button in Deus Ex. You can find it in the same window, where you see the list of servers.

WAIT, how do you change maps and shit like that?

Deusex.ini , Scroll down, and you can change\add maps from there.

THEY MUST ExIST IN YOUR /MAP FOLDER TOO.

DXTML 160b or some thing like that allows you to change maps and others settings in the settings menu.

Oh yeah if you click on a server in dx itll also show whos in the server with ping ID and kills and it gives you the option to insert the password in the menu for private servers

this is possible with DXMTL152b1 as well

Its more advance and better.

And laggier for clients of the server in general too. (This assumption is based on a test of around 20 clients from my server who reported ping increases of at least 20 and general play slowing after changing from DXMTL152b1 to DXMTL160b3)
