CPU Overheating...

Ok, i'm having serious problems with my laptop. It's reaching temperatures of 93 Degrees Celcius (199.4 Degrees Farenheit) under CPU load, such as the use of UnrealEd.

Do any of you's guys know any way at all that I can cool down my computer, as I have taken it down to my computer shop, only to be told there was nothing wrong because they can't get it to overheat.

(Mind you, who would, if you only play Solitare and Minesweeper on it!!! STUPID INTERMOUSE N00BS!!!)

*regains composure*

I've already tried SpeedFan, but that can't do anything with regards to changing my temperatures. And because this thing cost me over £2000 GBP, and i'm still paying for it from a catalogue, I can't take it apart. Even though its warranty ran out over a month ago.

Well, you proberbly need to upgrade your CPU, Motherboard and RAM.

Why would I need what is essentially a full system revamp?

And I don't have the money to throw around for such things anyway, this laptop costs my parents >£100 a month, as it's from a catalog. And I can't take it apart to install stuff, and my computer shop'll only work on it if there is something wrong, which they say there isn't.

Sure you do, get dressed in a potatot sack, head down a really populated street, rubbing coal over your face, and start singing(really badly)

It will be so dreadful, they will pay you to stop!

Take it back and tell them you're not leaving until they've had a look. Open up a game or two in a window with speedfan up next to it and show them the rocketing temperatures.

Intermouse.

I would've done that, but the dosey bitch behind the counter couldn't even operate SpeedFan... And I told her to run some of my games to challenge the CPU and make it fry. Any guesses what she ran...?

Yeah... by challenge the CPU, I meant make it run lots of stuff at once, like with any of my mods, or like in GTA: San Andreas.

Who the fuck cares if your not "allowed" to take it apart. Warranty is gone as you said, so take it to a PC shop that knows something, ask them to look at the fan, see if its clogged etc. (Had a problem like that with my laptop)

Or if its just faulty, then ask them what to replace, and how much THEY will quote you to replace it.

Then go to two other places, do the same thing.

Then check the internet, see if you can find the same procedure for a significantly less cost. If not, go back to the cheapest shop and fork over your cash heh.
