[A]llan asked me to post this, sorry if it is wrong section...

There was this type of GPF and another shorter version, then a version which said "FAILED BIT: DD"

The map / server was normal for about 5-10 seconds, then screen freezes, but music is still playing, which didn't bother, cos its my favourite DX track.

Hope this helps... btw I was killing myself laughing at the giant snowmen...can't wait to see the rest of the map...

There's a problem with your Direct3D render, you can download either:
a.) the new Direct3D8 render
b.) the new OpenGL render

I would recommend OpenGL, but it doesn't really matter for this. Whichever one you've chosen, extract it into DeusEx/System directory.

Run DX, and click Settings > Display > Rendering Device.

DX should restart and a window will come up, asking you to chose a rendering device.

There will only be 2 options in the list - Direct3D and Software Rendering.

At the bottom, tick the box which says 'show unsupported devices' (or something along those lines), and you will now have a new list. Choose the one which you downloaded (either OpenGL or Direct3D8).

Oh and ShadowRunner, try to be a bit nicer in servers - remember, don't get angry, it's just a game

That's exactly what happens with some people on BFP2.

The christmas map/mod is Funline_BigFlyingChristmas. Probably explains why then. =]

Mainman, you are the mainman thx...

I've always used Direct3D cos someone told me to, when I started...so that was very useful, thx...

And umm I take your last point on board... it would be useful to know what you are referring to though...

This error on BFP appears only when music is turned on. 100%

I find that it always crashes at exactly the same point in the music, and that if you mute the sound until that point has passed, then it will not GPF anymore, even when the music loops and it goes to that point again.

You see, some people just say turn your music off, whereas Bakey here isnt satisfied.

I am impressed with your research Bakey. Be proud. :)

It happens on any map with that track. Oddly. :?

Like on one of ZP's maps the other day. :(
