Can't start up DX anymore

Postby Professor Layton » Sun Jan 07, 07 2:57 pm

As title says, I can't start up dx anymore, it just gives me a critical error, as you can see on the attachment.

I'll just copy contents of the deusex.log here, as it's not that large:

I haven't changed anything either to DX, I just played earlier today in some servers, without problems and now DX just won't to boot up anymore and give this error.

So you haven't installed any mods are anything since the last time it was working?

Code: Select all
Critical: appError called:
Critical: Bad name index -61/12872

That looks like the cause of the error..

Nope, didn't change anything and everything was normal the last time as far as I know.

I thought so, seeing as it's mentioned in the critical error screen as well, yet it means nothing to me...

Edit: added DeusEx.ini

I've seen this somewhere before and even managed to fix, but I don't recollect where and how

First update your MMUserInterface (see Labs) and then try this: rename Cache/ folder to something different, create a new Cache/ folder and launch the game.

Maybe you should stop making your sniper rifle pink. :]
When life gives you lemons... Squeeze them into your eyes and run across a busy intersection, faggot.
