Well deus ex most survive , but THINK ... if people enter in deus ex multiplayer and no saw one server no MTL cant enter and no enjoy of dx , is for that this person go to play other games and this is the reason because deus ex lose thousands of players. this is a sad thing and a reality.
remember : ALL NO GOT MTL , for resolve this , open any server no MTL.
If any can help , no help me , help deus ex and save thousands of players. Me try help deus ex survivance .Good luck

Just checked - the "patch" should work with any non-English version.

I wonder why DXMTL is bound to DeusExText.u?

It is not. :?

Why do Italians and Spaniards can't play on MTL servers without replacing their DeusExText.u to English one?

I'm not sure, but MTL import table does not contain DeusExText.u

It could be that the imported packages import DeusExText.u, though

Maybe DXMTL has some kind of basic protection about that?

Hasharin
post your DeusExText.u file from DeusEx/System so we could investigate this issue.

Well, it seems like DejaVu is on it anyway. There is a server in the list called

Non MTL:spanish.dxmp.net : italian.dxmp.net

If your Deus Ex is non-english,you can't play online, cause files like DeusEx.u, DeusExText.u etc. in the server, must be the same as player's

So,if you wanted to play online, the servers must have been set up in your language.Otherwise,we have "mishmash" error's

Hmm, I though it was only related to MTL. So, I guess you can't enter even non-MTL English servers, right?

Also I wonder why do players with English Deus Ex could play on any server?

I notice curiously this same problem applies to players from India too, but not New Zealand or Taiwan.

Could it be that the vast majority of English players have "Sold Out" copies, which were made in 2003 and are somehow different? (e.g. what is ".Now Technology" which comes with the CD?)

I don't recall any servers not using an english Deus Ex version - FGS changed their version in 2003, due to the fact that English people couldn't play there. This was probably why.

The ".Now" technology featured on Sold Out CD-ROMs is only used for the installer - it does not affect the actual game in any way.

No, the SoldOut copies have a modified .exe which shows a splash screen, and doesn't allow playing without a CD through a simple Deusex.ini modification.

Map Wizard you are wrong.

Yes, but that isn't attributed to .Now techology, whatever that does.

I should know, I had to get the standard .exe off Rob ages ago.

Same instance when downloaded from Direct2Drive.
