Patch: No CD required

Hello guys!

I have installed Deus Ex. It was the newest and last version of the game made by EIDOS because it was installed by the Premier Collection Original CD.

However, I found an upgrade, which I installed: [DeusExMPPatch1112fm.exe]

I have finished the game (single player) so many times that I don't wish (at this time) to play it again. Since the, I play Multiplayer...

And I want to get rid of the CD requirement at the game's startup!
Why do I have to put my CD in the drive since everything about multiplayer is saved on the computer?

All I need is a patch (isn't it?) Where can I find a suitable for my version patch ?

Thank you,
DUMBY

Dae needs to put it all back up. Was it because of a hack?

DUMBY, it's not that complicated. If you're using XP, Go to start=Mycomputer=DeusEx=System. Look for a file that says DeusEx It'll be a notepad with an orange Gear on it. Open that and look for the following line: CdPath=*:/ * represents whatever letter would be there. Just erase the letter, and save the ini.... presto.. you don't need the CD anymore.

I'm sure Dumby saw the page already since this thread was posted back in June. Wounded Ronin needs the help now.

I'm takin' notes! It will be nice to not need the CD all the time. Does that fix cause any issues? i.e. is there ever any info that is always loaded off the CD?

If you have the DX GOTY edition you need the patch, otherwise ya don't. Just remove the drive references from ur deusex.ini file.

Apologies btw, don't have time to all of the above, so knowing my luck you probably have the GOTY edition...
