Military Weapon Set

I want to make a weapon set which uses modern combat weapons and not homing rocket launchers. Replace the Assault Rifle with the SA80,

The Sniper rifle with the M107 or .50 cal or M24

Maybe an MP7 in there somewhere.

And to replace a rocket launcher, how about an M60?

I want to try to make this mod as realistic as possible and whoever wants to help me are free to do so.

Yeah, and btw these weapons aren't going to blow someone to pieces in one shot. I was thinking we could make the SA80 do the same as assault rifle but more accurate, the Sniper Rifle could have Vision on it and could do quite a bit of damage but really slow reloading and refire to stop noobiness, the MP7 could be really fast but does a small amount of damage say like 2 per bullet or something.

Tant. Google the weapons and find out all there info. Then tell them to me over msn, so that way you can make it even more realistic by having the actual statistics.

well, the problem is that such an awesome model can't be made for DX.. i'm not that an expert in modeling but either it will screw up or lag

You need a modeller who has importing to DX and animating experience besides good modelling knowledge. Oh and yeah, when you find him, let me know ;) Project 2027 has been seeking for one for over 2 years.

They are a good piece of work but take too long to take out and reload, the hand is retarded, the clip on the H@K stays there when reloading.


Btw Klop, the SA80 has 5.56mm bullets and 2200rpm (constant)

Not true.

The MP5 (1st) has well over 1000 polys.

The reason why they are slow and glitchy is because the maker put too many frames of reload and the FPS is slow for them.

I suggest 2-3 frames per every anim.

Also, if you need someone with intimate knowledge in modelling AND animating, I'm your man.

Also, if you want to see if I'm good at DX modelling or not, check out this MAC10 I'm making for MainMan's mod.

Seriously, cataclyzm is a really good modeller. More than anything, he is very quick and efficient - he has been making at least one complete weapon (1st, 3rd, and pickup) for me every day! However this doesn't mean that they are rushed or bad, in fact they have been consistantly good.

No, the problem is the FPS. If some coder with intimate knowledge can change it, let's say, a modeler (modeler are coders as well as they have to deal with the import files). For example, the HK MP5 reload animation frame is nearly 30 frames ... and the fps is about 15 IIRC, to make it quick you have to double the FPS.

Such as with Fire Animation, the FPS must be REALLY HIGH. Like 20 or so, but higher, depending on how many frames you have (I use 3, and I use an FPS of 20 so that's all good :P).
