- British comedy is FAR better than American comedy. All american comedy is the same, with the same type of families. scenarios, all patriotic and whatever. British comedy is far more varied, and if you've only seen Monty Python I suggest you actually watch some British comedy shows. And yeah, Americans don't understand our comedy at all because you're all used to the same tired safe jokes.
