And you know nothing about the UK, but it's OK for you to comment? Pfft, please.
And please, where did anyone say "UK IS TEH BETTERS!"
Lez wrote:were just more clued up on life, wittier, better humour, everything.
This is a simple debate about the fact that American English is not correct, and that the UK has better comedy.
You are making this a UK vs US topic.
I took it to far?
It takes two to tango, [sarcasm]and we still have 3 more steps left.[/sarcasm]
Lol. Monty Python doesn't make sense so it must suck... That's like saying "I don't understand how planes fly, so they don't".
And there in lies the problem,
We're disagreeing with you, and because we aren't from the US, that means our hidden agenda is to attack the US at every corner.
Lol @ rage.
No, you would be wrong. This topic exists to answer the simple question; Which is correct, or if both are correct, which is more correct. The simple answer is, England.
The complex answer is that due to the fact America was founded by the United Kingdom and it's language is a direct re-write of the English language, England is more correct.
You simply can not win this argument, and I think you realise that. Hence why this topic has a whole lot of political bullshit to try and fudge the fact.
Uhh... right.
Besides you, who is using large stereotyping?
- British comedy is FAR better than American comedy. All american comedy is the same
I agree with American stereotyping though.. coz its true. I've been to America twice and all I saw was drunken hobos wandering in the road, really really HUGE people, MaccyD's on every bloody street, girl after girl goin "Like, OMG!!" and a zillion all-you-can-eat places.
No one but you brought the subject of US > <any other/> into this topic. You have assumed incorrectly that it is on everyone's mind. And generally, you are being paranoid, lol.
And you're doing it again. You are implying that the people that have already posted are saying UK comedy > US comedy simply because they don't like the US.
Do you know what I base my choice off? It is quite simple, actually. "If I had to watch two weeks non-stop of a countries comedy, which would I choose?". The implication there is that we're talking about a wide variety, not just a few good re-runs of shows that were made decades ago.
When it comes down to it, I couldn't sit through a week of non-stop US comedy and would gladly give up M*A*S*H and Hogan's Hero's. And that is what makes me say UK comedy> US comedy. Pretty simple eh?
Seriously, you need to chill, read, and think.
Wether or not the Stereotype is true is irrelevant, you are conducting your self in a manner that matches that stereotype.
You have basically implied that everyone here is lying to further their anti-American feelings. [sarcasm]Forgive me for my arrogance, but[/sarcasm] I think that's bullshit and you should stop smoking what ever it is you're smoking. We're talking about comedy and language and you're bringing in the fact that everyone hates the US.
Just, Lol.
I don't actually see any difference in either of those two statements.
You have jumped the gun again and have read far too much into the comment. Sure, a hell of a lot of comedy coming out of the US is utter shit that should be axed before it's ever put on, and the UK has some of that too. (Although I do admit, none spring to mind....)
The lack of them giving due credit does not mean there is no due credit.
IIRC, Chococat use to be a big friends and Malcom in the middle fan. (Operative word; use, current status unknown.)
I'm very sure if you ask Lazer, he can give you a US comedy he likes/doesn't mind.
And I've already given you two.
You want it to be biased.
In light of this, I have gone over my post and added sarcasm tags to aid you. You can feel free to reply to or ignore the area's surrounded by the [sarcasm] tags. I was actually surprised by the lack of tags placed, as I usually take a healthy dose of sarcasm into any debate with you. Laughing
UK comedy is not skin deep, it never has been.
The entire movie is a joke. I could go further into it, but explaining a joke to someone ruins it for ever... Suffice to say there are different levels at which it's funny. Try to think you're watching a Mel Brooks film, only more subtle and articulated.
Lol mosh.

You are fighting over speeling of words, big deal, one country spells it one way another spells it the other. Nobody is right or wrong imo.
Different countries adopt to different ways of spelling things.
Its not a life or death situation guys so don't worry.
On the topic of who has better comedy, I say neither. Different tastes AGAIN. Notice that word tastes. Different people have diffrent tastes.
And this is one thing that kinda pisses me off a bit, you are trying to make it look like England is superior to others, that's the view I am getting.

Actually I joined of my own free will..
However i despise a country and its nation that is so far up their arse that they think everything about it is great.

Except the UK is better than the US.
I can agree with that, but American English is not 100% incorrect now is it. Imho,
^^^ notice IMHO, in my honest opinion*
American English is more correct than English ... english.
I blame Lazer, he started the whole "we're superior to you".
I think generally US is not hated anymore; more like they are being treated as inferior.
Stevie causing it again, this time he gets Lazer & Choco to join him
Swedenland owns you all!
1) dez got totally put in his place by darknight,
so then he turned his attentions to me, laying all the blame over this argument at my door
(thus trying to deflect all the agro away from him, but it aint gonna work because people can read every post in here Smile )
he wanted me to bite back again because dezzie likes nothing better than to argue, the more people to argue with the better in his eyes.
Just…….lol. how the fuck can it be more correct. I despair sometimes….
we are though, go on, admit it.
bit of both really. i think most people generally agree that the US is hated, and also inferior.
ever entertained the thought me and choco got involved because we had the same opinion as stevie, and in fact the majority. and wanted to express our opinion?
ot really, it was the big bad conspiracy against the US. we all sent pm's to each other saying lets disguise this argument over the spelling of colour and comedy shows, for an attack on everything that is america.
i'd just like to finish......
UK comedy is better than US comedy.
ts 3 heavy debaters vs you lol
Antarctica is better.
