The PS2 was shit, had only a handful of good games and then the lying started with the "in game it really is mate! it's not cgi i swear to allah snackbar!:'(", which carried onto the PS3, egotistical fags. All other Sony hardware I've used/owned has been faulty or broke.

69 wrote:Who gives a shit what it sold? The Dreamcast owned the PS2 all over, it failed by Sony faggots talking shit and the fact it could run backup games from stock lol The reason it sold so many was because it was the in thing to own. The same people slagged off other consoles despite never playing them, then their friends bought a PS2 repeat repeat repeat. Let's all go listen to Westlife now because they have sold lots of albums

By the comparison of multiformat games on the Dreamcast(during its short life) and PS2, PS2 fails. Unreal was some sadistic joke, 10fps yesss 100% playable.

Compare any of the Capcom releases for other consoles to the PS2.

It is becoming better and better since the last review. Games like Virtua Fighter 4 have pushed over 10 Million polygons and ICO boosts 15 Million, according to several people. Very good improvement now.
First off, PlayStation 2 has 4MB VRAM. This renders large, free-roam games to be quality-less or very small. Sonic Adventure is the perfect example of a free roam game. Thanks to the 8MB of VRAM, Sonic Adventure is possible on Dreamcast with some other things involved.
But now, in 2001/2002, the VRAM is becoming less of a problem, but it still isn't full proof. Some games are managing to be larger (Silent Hill 2) and more detailed (Silent Hill 2).
PS2 is a fairly good design now. It's a good thing developers like Capcom and Konami have learned the architecture more.

Well... the graphics aren't anything new compared to the Dreamcast. While they look nice and all, the only thing I have aganist PS2 is the lack of anti-aliasing. This makes jaggies show up in PS2 games. But alas, the graphics aren't anything special or revolutionary, but better than nothing.
Games like Devil May Cry and Silent Hill 2 may look a little dull, but they look nice overall. Madden games look outstanding, detailed and clear.
But this still lags because compared to some GCN games (Star Wars: Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2), Dreamcast games (Shenmue) and XBOX games (DOA3) look better than anything available on PS2.
Hopefully the developers can make more of the hardware.

At first it was OK. But now it is straight on annoying! Resident Evil 3 for PSX loads MUCH slower on the PS2, despite the PS2's faster speed processor. The loading times for PS2 games are slow and annoying. CODE: Veronica X takes a minute longer to load than the DC counterpart, CODE: Veronica

Since this review, future games have had the same problems.
I'd like you to name more than 6 games you really liked after 2003 on the PS2.
