doesn't work for me, when i try to join a server it just says something about Root Window and disconnects me :roll:

Hmm... yeah kinda pisses me off that I can't use my desktop resolution even in multiplayer.

It's because you use an alternative rootwindow. The default DX security check recognizes that you use a "wrong" root window and disconnects you in MP.
I could make a "fix" for that but that would break a part of the security.

I can't understand why 1280x1024 isn't on the list in the first place.
Well I can actually use my res, but I have to use the huge ass HUD... but I guess it's fine... played fine last night.
