Yeah I've been hearing a lot of the same things. The game is great up until the aliens show up...then it just gets weird.

Crysis isn't like Halo. Crysis is good.

Multiplayer is a CS type buying system, and you get hardly any cash. The community is populated with angry noobs as bad as the AI, and if you have the patience to spend the hour and a half getting through the usual GameSpy ID fun, you can't join a server because you're Timing Out, Disconnected, or Kicked. So where can you ask for immediate tech support? In the lobby chat of course. But you best hope your message is seen by someone over the spamming German children. After wrestling to get a nickname from GameSpy, you go into the game only to find out that your name is what you named your profile anyway. Because of some unknown reason, most of the players on the server will be named "Nomad", with their appended number in brackets. When you join most games, you get a message like what I got.

Aaron: ?
Nomad(77): Banned

Play on cracked servers. Sometimes there's a guy that fires 1000 nukes, but still, it's fun.

So I bought Crysis today.

I like the whole Powerstruggle gameplay idea. It'll attract the kids who's parents buy them expensive computers at first, but if it's nearly as in depth and as complicated as I've seen, they will only be interested for a while.

That was a beautiful game. Even when and after the Aliens arrived, it was still a great game.

Grabbing Koreans was getting boring, but now that I could grab ALIENS who were going to KILL MY PLANET, It felt like I was Will Smith straight out of Independence Day.

However, When you go into the Alien cave thing, and you lose gravity, I can see how you could get angry if you got lost, I but I got lucky and figured most shit out first time.
