I was never good at first-person shooters personally. I like them and there's one I would love to be good at (Team Fortress 2) but I just don't have the patience for them. I used to be fairly good at Deus Ex, 3 years ago lol. But I stopped playing because I just didn't like it as much as I did, I do that with a ton of FPS games, I just prefer SP over MP in FPS games.
With RPGs, to me, it's different. Yeah, I suppose the ultimate goal is to just level up endlessly and to follow some linear storyline (in MMO's, it's a bit more pointless because while there may be a storyline, you don't usually follow it directly and quests I've done on WoW, while having significance to the class/race/faction, have hardly anything to do with the Warcraft lore) but at least it gives me some sort of achievement lol.
