The community is pressuring VALVe for a discount or a rebate upon its release. I recommend people who pay in Euros to not purchase L4D-2 on Stam store, you'll be paying the full dollar price in Euros tag because Steam Store is shit for dollar to euro. I suggest purchasing the retail version of the game OR waiting for a steam store discount (like I am, even if I'm using pounds) where you can either use your euros or get someone you can trust to gift the game to you on their cheaper terms.

As for article, I can't say I agree or disagree with the boycotting of L4D. Because I've never played L4D. But, considering they did say they'd release content updates for L4D and haven't, that's a very piss poor job done by Valve, IMO.

Bad comparison in my opinion. The Orange Box didn't just include HL2, it included both episodes, Portal and Team Fortress 2. It wasn't a rip because it had basically, 5 games on the one DVD. Not 1 standalone game. 5 (2 of which needed HL2 to play).

I think everyone's hate towards L4D2 is extremely justified. I don't care if THEY think it's a fun idea to go along with, they shouldn't be making the game for them, they're making it for their damn fans, the damn consumer. You want to make a project for fun? Go ahead, that's fine, but don't release it publicly with a $60 price tag on it, market it under an already successful game developer and call it "new" work.
