Laptop Monitor

Postby ynnaD » Fri Apr 02, 10 7:13 pm

So i turned my laptop on earlier, and i was presented with a fully white screen, i couldn't even try to run any recovery programs or safe mode because i couldn't see anything :S, i've found that depending on what angle i keep the monitor at, i can get it to work somewhat, but its a very awkward angle to work with, what could have caused this, is it fixable, or is my monitor fucked D:

I'm pretty sure you can fix that for a minimal price in a local repair service

Fully white screen sounds like:
a. you need to replace the screen inverter (super easy and like $15 for parts)
b. replace the screen backlight (just get a whole new used lcd off ebay, again $15, and easy)

Could be a loose video cable but that's not likely.
