Spoiler boxes

Postby James » Fri Apr 15, 11 11:26 pm

Is it possible to implement spoiler boxes with this engine? Where you have to "Click to show spoiler" and the text reveals out into a quote-field for it.

As support for this, DXHR is coming up.

Or more so,

"click to show" boxes in general would be nifty. It would keep many posts organized.

While I agree on the spoilers part, I hate those 'spoiler-boxes'

I'd rather recommend a spoiler tag, on which, the text we write becomes invisible.. as in, the text is black with the background black too, so when you highlight it, then only you can read it, or when mouse gets over it, then the text becomes visible? (white)

Keep in mind that half of us use the old c3s theme.

I dislike spoiler tags. Spoiler fields have multiple uses. It's awkward due to styles too.

Just to show an example for formatting posts with help of the spoiler box:

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmes ... _id=189624

Used this way, people don't have to scroll past a massive post and instead just can click the parts they're interested in to view them.

it's not very good

you see it's still there, with the spoiler field you can hide images and every other content sure you can link the image but some people would prefer not to see it. besides you have to quote or copy and paste this stuff into notepad or something

on the plus side fields can also be used to tidy up posts.

Hmm, well, that's a point.

ALRIITE SPOILER BOX FOR DA WIN

edit: @aidan wat
background doesn't matter--
here's an example of what i mean.. (2nd post)

http://www.offtopicproductions.com/foru ... ler#p69392

but upon further discussion, we're not able to hide images or so, so boxes are better, as long as it's multiple boxes per post, not just a single one like those invisionfree codes..

dont worry you can say PS3 HAS NO GAMES in all forms of spoiler.

but upon further discussion, we're not able to hide images or so, so boxes are better, as long as it's multiple boxes per post, not just a single one like those invisionfree codes..

It would seem the auto font colour and font size may be broken.

It's a quote style. I can make it look like normal text.

That would be great.

But, that wasnt what I was talking about. Try replying to this message, resize it or colour any text with the drop down auto tools. Didn't work for me on firefox. Or here.
